Let yourself be inspired by the contributions of our Slovenian friends
Here you can fiend a few impressions of a successful Hannover Fair, worlds most important industry fair.
As can be seen from the press release of the DLR, the HY4 presents itself at the world’s largest exhibition center in Hanover.
“As the first four-seat passenger aircraft, the HY4 is due to launch its maiden flight with an electric drive that draws its energy primarily from a hydrogen fuel cell in the summer of 2016. A HY4 model is being developed by the DLR Institute of Technical Thermodynamics together with its research and development partners Hydrogenics, Pipistrel, H2FLY, the University of Ulm and Stuttgart Airport at the Hanover Fair at the joint stand for hydrogen, fuel cells and batteries (Hall 27, Stand E65). “
Get a first impression of emission-free flying:
Prof. Dr. Josef Kallo, coordinator of electric flying at the DLR Institute for Technical Thermodynamics, presented the Hy4 project at the World of Energy Solution trade fair in Stuttgart on October 12, 2015. As a partner, H2FLY contributes to the realization of the world’s first fuel cell technology-based passenger aircraft.
Emission-free, energy-efficient and quiet – electric flying offers a range of very different benefits and has the potential to revolutionize aviation in the medium to long term. For its further research in the field of electric flying, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has received a donation of 180,000 euros from Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH. The chairman of the Stuttgart airport, the Baden-Württemberg Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Winfried Hermann, presented the check to the DLR researchers on September 21, 2015, together with airport managing director Prof. Georg Fundel.
H2Fly welcomes Symposium E2 Flying
As you can see from the DLR homepage:
“Emission free above the clouds”, so that this statement can become reality, the DLR and the University of Stuttgart decided to jointly create an AuPL cloud exchange and information platform on this topic. “Electric powered aircraft” serve as an entry point and focus for this promising field of research.
For the first time on European soil there will be a platform for bundling and networking in all relevant topics. The program includes highly qualified contributions: from the aircraft concept to the aircraft project, from the energy system to the propulsion system, from the idea to certification, from general aviation to commercial air transport.
Many thanks to all participants.
