05-06.10.2017, Stuttgart Symposium E2Flight One of the biggest symposia on electric flying took place in Stuttgart under the main topics “Technological and Political Progress in Electric Flight”, “Hybrid Systems and Energy Storage”, “Energy Conversion, Safety and Certification Aspects” and “Integration Aspects and Flying Hardware” , Organized and carried out by the German Aerospace Center together with the University of Ulm, the latest findings on electrification of aviation were exchanged in lectures and discussions with renowned representatives from industry and research. Lectures by Frauke Pleins-Schmidt from the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Starr Ginn from the NASA Armstron Flight Research Center and Prof. Josef Kallo from the University of Ulm show only a fraction of the high-caliber lectures and participants. In addition, the forum was used to make contacts and share know-how. This Syposium once again showed the positive trend of technology development and gives hope that electric aircraft will be soon mass produced and operated.
